To our Bay Area community members oppressed by systemic racism: We see you. We love you. We want to amplify your voices and support your creative expressions. It will be our honor to print 50 posters (or more if needed) of 1 design for BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ artists and writers at no charge. There is power in print and healing in art. Let's do this together.
Here is an updating list of other printers offering free printing in other areas around the world. Thank you to Lea of Pichi Pichi Press for coordinating this list. If you are a small press printing for social justice and need funds or supplies please email us.
We ask that contributors please limit their submission to one design so we can help as many people as possible. If you are unfamiliar with Risograph printing our friends at Risolve Studio have done an awesome job explaining risograph printing and file preparation here.
Please refer to the color chart here
. Prints can be 1 color or 2 colors. We have the following colors:
Fluorescent Pink, Red, Yellow, Green, Sea Foam, Aqua, Orchid, Medium Blue, and Black. Colors can be combined to create new colors. For instance fluorescent pink at 100% over 100% yellow creates a killer neon orange.
Paper is #70 lb text stock 11 x 17 inches with a printable size of 10.25 x 16.25 inches. 300 dpi works best. Files should be pre-separated in grayscale pdfs with color in the file name. Here is an example "Jane_Doe_Red.PDF, Jane_Doe_Pink.PDF.
