I print my hand carved stamps on fabric. You’ll see in my photo that the top print is the YOW black ink and the bottom is the YOW gray ink pad. Both were printed on prewashed cotton fabric, both heat set, both washed vigorously with soap and warm water and pressed again. The ink pad is juicy so I gently pressed it to the stamp 5 times to distribute the ink. The gray ink matches the color on the case, but it is quite transparent. It is a really pretty color, but I don’t think I’d want it for lettering on fabric seen from a distance. The ink pad is also so juicy that I tried 6 times to get a clear print and every one of the left an ink blob on the middle horizontal line of the E. I’d have to refine my carving further to use this ink pad. Absolutely no ink washed out.
Hey Melinda, Thanks so much for taking the time to write reviews on the ink pads you tried! It sounds like for the most part they were a great alternative. I am so happy that a majority of them resulted in crisp prints and bright colors even after a wash. We've never had our ink pads described as juicy and let me tell you, we love it! More ink, more fun! I hear that our red leans a tad orange but glad you tested it out! I do acknowledge the Turquoise and Grey being a bit lighter especially when they hit fabric. We hope our inks can happily accompany your stamp journey and always here to help you out. Best wishes, Knoa Buckley (they/them) Shipping manager
